MIAST Membership Application
Competence you can prove — apply for independently assessed, verifiable façade membership.
Wherever you work, clients, specifiers and regulators increasingly expect proof of competence — not just a claim of experience. MIAST — Member of the Institute For Architectural Science and Technology — is a globally recognisable mark of proven façade competence: independently assessed, verifiable, and kept current.
This application is your route to MIAST. If you have passed the JCI Baseline Assessment, completed IAST CPD, or hold one of our qualifications, you may already be eligible. You confirm what applies to you, and we verify it against our records.
In a market under heightened scrutiny — reinforced in the UK by the Building Safety Act — provable competence has never mattered more. Once awarded, you can use the MIAST post-nominal, carry a verifiable digital credential that anyone can check in seconds, and show clients, principal contractors and approvers that your competence is proven, not promised.
Open to current IAST Standard and All Access members.
Holding MIAST means you can:
Use the MIAST post-nominal as recognition of your standing among peers, clients and specifiers
Carry a verifiable digital credential that anyone can check in seconds
Put recognised evidence of competence in front of clients at pre-qualification and tender
Strengthen your bids — proof, not promises
