MIAST Membership Application
Façade technical knowledge, experience and continuous professional development you can prove — apply for independently assessed, verifiable façade membership.
MIAST — Member of the Institute for Architectural Science and Technology — is a professional designation recognising individuals who have demonstrated technical knowledge, relevant industry experience and continued professional development in façade design and engineering. Eligibility is based on defined criteria and verified against IAST assessment, qualification and CPD records.
This application is your route to MIAST. If you have passed the Knowledge Assessment, completed eligible IAST CPD, or hold an IAST qualification, and have relevant industry experience, you may already meet the requirements. Simply confirm the route that applies to you, and we will verify your eligibility against our records.
As expectations for professional standards across the built environment continue to rise, demonstrating relevant experience, maintaining current technical knowledge and undertaking continuous professional development are increasingly important. Once awarded, MIAST gives you the right to use the MIAST post-nominal and provides you with a verifiable digital credential that clients, employers, principal contractors and other industry stakeholders can check online.
Open to current IAST Façade Intelligence Professional Members (FI PRO).
